Ludideon is an industry leading R&D business that creates and delivers game-changing materials technologies. Lucideon undertake activities that would be classified as high risk without the correct management processes in place.
SRM were invited to tender to help Lucideon create the building blocks for a comprehensive health and safety solution that would protect its people, clients and business.
There were significant challenges across the business that needed to be understood before action could be taken. The challenge of engaging the team across multiple levels and roles was imperative for a successful outcome.

SOLUTION
Liam and the SRM team firstly took time to understand Lucideon, by engaging with all the departments across the business to then pull together a focused action plan.

- Addressing the urgent issues that needed immediate resolution, while creating the building blocks for a long term plan
- Taking time to understand the business, it’s challenges and risks to ensure that the company met its legal health and safety obligations
- Implementing accredited health and safety training to managers, and building a structured plan to cascade relevant training at all levels
- Formation of a health and safety committee to enable effective and open two way communication, while raising standards
- Creation of a roadmap for longer term (2-3 years) strategic improvement and development plans that continually align with the business needs

National Grid plays a vital role in connecting millions of people to the energy they use, while continually seeking ways to make the energy system cleaner.
